On 15 October 2017, discover or rediscover the Sonian Forest.
Alone or with your family, regardless of your age, whether you are able-bodied or disabled, know the forest well or are a complete newbie, come and feel it, walk through it, discover its most remarkable sites and trees… throughout the day. And while you’re at it, find out more about the people who work here, about those who manage it, protect it and prepare it for the decades to come.
The three regions (Brussels-Capital, Flanders, Wallonia) have joined forces for this event, working with various stakeholders of the forest – including those of the Sonian Forest platform. Enthusiasts, associations and organisations that revolve around the forest will be organising a wide range of activities and entertainment. Find out more about the events on this site.
The Day of the Sonian Forest is organised in the margin of the “Year of Urban Nature” in the Brussels-Capital Region, in the Flemish Region, as part of the annual “Forest Week” and, in the Walloon Region, within the framework of the “Weekend of Woods and Forests of the Ardennes”.
