The Sonian Forest lies at the intersection of the Flemish, the Brussels-Capital and the Walloon Regions. Together, the Flemish agency for Nature and Forests (ANB)), Bruxelles  Environnement (IBGE), and the Direction de la Nature et des Forêts (DNF) (Department of Nature and Forests) manage the Sonian Forest. The 347 hectares of the Kapucijnenbos/Bois des Capucins fall under the Royal Trust. In 2008, the three Regions committed themselves to working together extensively for the preservation and strengthening of the Sonian Forest. They are joining forces for a more robust Sonian Forest and to create a warm welcome for its visitors.
